Cycle USA 2006

3500 miles in a pair of shorts - polar bear free zone!

After guiding a team to the Geographic North pole in 2006 I decided to do something completely different. It was time to wear shorts on an expedition and experience a more refined way of travel.

I felt confident in crossing America from Seattle to New York. It took eight weeks to complete passing through Chicago along the way. Exactly 3500 miles later with only a hand full of punctures we arrived in New York’s – Central Park . If you ever do a circle ride and want to end up in a great city then New York is the one to head for.

Both myself and my perfect cycling partner called the ride “the polar bar free zone ride”

occupational hazard…

Long road ahead…

How far!

My perfect town…
