Melting planet means a change in direction for Mark Wood

14 February 2012 – Due to a fundamental change in direction, Mark will now be briefly returning to the UK on his way to the North Pole, and will be available for media interviews on 21 and 22 February!

Mark Wood reaches the end of the Earth

10 January 2012 – Late last night Mark Wood arrived at the South Pole, completing the first leg of his North South Solo Expedition. After 50 days alone on ice, he was exhausted but thrilled.
