SOLO EXPLORER

Solo Explorer tells two stories. Mark Wood describes his exhilarating yet dangerous attempt to walk solo unsupported and unaided to both the South and North Geographic Poles. Like all great stories though, it has its twists. This journey in a freezer gives clarity of mind to look back on other ventures that led him along the path from a small boy based in the centre of the UK, to becoming an explorer who creates global education programmes for millions of students worldwide.

ROCK & ICE

An amazing collection of stunning images from Mark Wood’s expeditions across rock and ice during the past two decade. Combining scenery, people, animals and team mates who have snapped Mark’s own remarkable journey of discovery. These are a collection of Marks favourite photographs showcasing a personal account of extreme exploration.

HOW TO BE A POLAR EXPLORER

An expedition to the North pole as seen through the eyes of a small boy - his journey begins with a spark of inspiration to explore the cold extremes of our planet. With his trusty dog he meets animals and local people along the way and what started out as a boys need to venture into the unknown turns quickly into the harsh realisation of a disappearing land.

This animated book is written by Mark as himself as a boy and using his own experiences of operating on expeditions over the past two decades he has created a realistic journey for young people to understand themselves and the planets harsh cold extremes. 100% of the money raised through the sales of this book goes directly to Sherbourne Fields Special School in Mark’s home City in the UK.

EXPEDITION SOLO 100 - COFFEE FOR EXPLORERS

In Mark’s quest to raise funds and support a wonderful children’s special school, Sherbourne Fields, he has teamed up with the equally wonderful Cafeology in Sheffield UK. Together they have designed a limited edition box set complete with a booklet about his next expedition - EXPEDITION SOLO 100.
